Poverty and marginalization are structural impediments to the realization of human rights.

Poverty transforms fundamental human rights into conditional privileges contingent on socioeconomic status. Social marginalization which is compounded by intersecting axes of identity such as sex, gender identity, ethnicity, disability, sexual orientation or geography entrenches systemic exclusion, legal and policy invisibility.

A rights-based approach to economic empowerment must therefore confront poverty and marginalization as enduring violations of justice and human dignity.

KFSE contributes to this goal, by implementing 8 program activities including:

  1. Offering entrepreneurial training
  2. Provision of start-up capital to selected business
  3. Offering business mentorship support and
  4. Scholarship support to select individuals in tertiary institutions.
  5. Digital Credit Provider - Licence Application
  6. Other E²  work
