The Poverty Abolitionist Movement

Join the poverty abolutionist movement

What slavery once was, poverty and marginalization are today

Just as the abolitionist movement sparked a global moral awakening—declaring slavery a profound violation of human dignity—we believe it’s time for a similar awakening about poverty and social marginalization.

At KFSE, we see extreme poverty and social exclusion not as unfortunate economic conditions, but as systemic moral failures that must be actively and sustainably abolished.

We are building a movement inspired by the courage, strategy, and clarity of the anti-slavery struggle. But unlike slavery, which could be ended through legislation, the abolition of poverty will require many forms of action—economic, social, political, among others.

Some people propose Universal Basic Income (UBI). Others call for community-led finance, wealth redistribution, or care-cantered economies.

What ideas do you have?
How might we, together, rewrite the moral contract of our time?

If you believe poverty can—and should—be abolished in our generation, we invite you to walk with us.
